Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Silie (ranked 24835 p4p, 6205 weight class) and Bjorn IronSide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

Silie shoots for a takedown but IronSide saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
IronSide tries to counter with a clinch but Silie shakes him off and moves away.

IronSide moves into the clinch.

IronSide drags the fight down to the ground.

IronSide has a closed guard, preventing Silie from standing up.
IronSide is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Silie drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and IronSide dives on top into guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

IronSide's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

IronSide controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
IronSide is looking to pass into half guard but Silie pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Silie is in guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if IronSide can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silie drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but IronSide manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Silie has IronSide in his guard.

IronSide creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Silie is looking to reverse the position.
We've been informed that IronSide has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Silie manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
IronSide winds up and cracks Silie with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

IronSide decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
IronSide slaps away a takedown attempt from Silie, before circling back to the center of the mat.

IronSide closes the distance and pushes Silie back into the cage.

IronSide shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Silie steps in with a hook that catches IronSide right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Silie follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! IronSide looks absolutely devastated.
