Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sander De Wolf (ranked 4704 p4p, 3154 weight class) and Solomon Marco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sander De Wolf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Solomon Marco! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marco looking to score a takedown here. De Wolf is defending well but Marco drives through and ends up in De Wolf's guard. De Wolf is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Marco trying to control the position from guard on top but De Wolf is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marco slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. De Wolf wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Marco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marco decides to stand up, so the ref orders De Wolf to his feet. De Wolf instigates a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marco gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marco stands up from De Wolf's guard - Marco perhaps looking for a knockout. Marco darts in and clinches De Wolf up against the cage. De Wolf tightens his grip and picks Marco up, before dumping him to the ground. Marco manages to land in guard. Marco lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. De Wolf keeping moving, preventing Marco from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marco pushing down on De Wolf's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. De Wolf tries to kick Marco off but Marco keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Marco is looking to advance position but De Wolf won't allow it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marco stops De Wolf from getting back to his feet.
Marco escapes and gets back to his feet. De Wolf closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Marco to the mat! Marco manages to get full guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! De Wolf postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Marco wants to improve his position but instead De Wolf has moved into half guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. De Wolf is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. De Wolf prevents Marco from standing back up.
De Wolf seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. De Wolf is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Marco sees it coming and defends easily. De Wolf seems to be looking for submissions.
De Wolf lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. De Wolf is looking for a kimura but Marco is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for De Wolf to get the leverage. De Wolf is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
De Wolf looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marco with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Marco tries to kick De Wolf off but De Wolf keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. De Wolf landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. De Wolf is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

A close round but Solomon Marco will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
De Wolf shoots in and bounces Marco off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Marco trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! De Wolf scoring with some ground and pound. Marco is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Marco is keen to just control but De Wolf is a slippery customer. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. De Wolf is trying to stand back up but Marco is controlling him

Marco is trying to defend but De Wolf finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Marco wants to get back to full guard. De Wolf is working for a kimura but Marco is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Marco looking for submissions from an awkward position here. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Marco is breathing heavily. De Wolf sitting and controlling from the half guard. De Wolf is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Marco! De Wolf trying to control but he's not successful this time. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Marco is desperately trying to improve his position but De Wolf has a good base and remains in mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sander De Wolf dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Marco stalling away here and it's allowed De Wolf to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. De Wolf keeping moving, preventing Marco from controlling successfully. De Wolf got a little sloppy there for a moment and Marco has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, De Wolf has managed to get both his arms back between Marco's legs - danger averted. Marco keeping moving, preventing De Wolf from controlling successfully. De Wolf chips away with some ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Marco rushes De Wolf and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. De Wolf works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Marco had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. De Wolf defends it easily. Marco takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. De Wolf not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. De Wolf working some strikes from top position. De Wolf is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Marco can do to turn this around?

De Wolf working over Marco with some ground and pound. Marco looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. De Wolf lands a big shot.
