Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hans Hermann Hoppe (ranked 383 p4p, 1502 weight class) and Ruslan Tagirbekov (ranked 44 p4p, 179 weight class). Hoppe's entrance music is Wind of Change. A fine choice. Tagirbekov has chosen Sabina Saidova - Dagestan as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 30 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hans Hermann Hoppe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ruslan Tagirbekov! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Tagirbekov. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoppe enables Tagirbekov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoppe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hoppe is on top in guard.
Hoppe postures up and lands a big shot to Tagirbekov's brow. Hoppe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hoppe stopping the sweep attempt from Tagirbekov. Hoppe lands a couple of elbows. Hoppe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tagirbekov is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Hoppe trying to control the position from guard on top but Tagirbekov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hoppe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Oops... bit sloppy there by Tagirbekov. Hoppe is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Hoppe scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Tagirbekov trying to control but Hoppe postures up.

Tagirbekov is looking to control Hoppe's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tagirbekov avoid being mounted? Tagirbekov is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hoppe scores with a couple of nice shots. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hoppe connects with a nice short shot to Tagirbekov's temple.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Tagirbekov is trying to escape back to his feet but Hoppe uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Tagirbekov is looking for a sweep. Hoppe working the head and body with strikes. Hoppe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tagirbekov is not content to let Hoppe control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoppe scoring with punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Check out the look on Hoppe's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Tagirbekov isn't going anywhere. Hoppe tries to move into full mount but can't pass Tagirbekov's legs. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hoppe creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Sloppy strikes from Tagirbekov. Those never looked like landing. Hoppe connects with a right hand. Tagirbekov shakes it off. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hoppe lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Tagirbekov at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoppe looks to score with a jab to the body but Tagirbekov is just out of range. Hoppe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Hoppe throws a head kick that misses so Tagirbekov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Hoppe keeping full guard, as Tagirbekov tries to pass. Hoppe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tagirbekov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Hoppe keeping moving, preventing Tagirbekov from controlling successfully. Hoppe manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Tagirbekov manages to get himself to full guard.

Tagirbekov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hoppe's guard.
Tagirbekov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Hoppe seems keen to control Tagirbekov's posture. Tagirbekov sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoppe is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Hoppe working a defensive guard here.
Hoppe has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tagirbekov is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hoppe. Hoppe gets back to half guard. Tagirbekov uses his free foot to push down on Hoppe's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hoppe. Tagirbekov wants to control the pace but Hoppe is squirming around nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoppe tries to hold on but Tagirbekov postures up. Tagirbekov looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Tagirbekov avoids the attempt from Hoppe to control. Hoppe working to try and regain half guard.
Hoppe is working hard here to advance position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Hans Hermann Hoppe will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! A bone on bone clash there as Hoppe blocks the leg kick.

He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Tagirbekov rolls with it to try and escape but Hoppe cranks on the arm and Tagirbekov is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
