Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Pat Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Carmine Kingston! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Daniel Franklin and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kingston moves into the clinch successfully.
Kingston pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kelly is fighting to break Kingston's control of his arms but Kingston is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Kelly stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kingston swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kingston trying to control the position here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kelly would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kingston thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kingston wants to stand and escape but Kelly is having none of it. Kelly knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kingston on the ground.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kelly misses with a wild body shot. Kingston feints and as Kelly raises his hands in defense, Kingston changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kelly is looking to stand back up but Kingston counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kelly. Kingston with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Kelly on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kelly tries to get out of the position. Kelly wants to sweep but Kingston has passed to side control! Kingston tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kingston is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kingston has knee on belly and moves into mount. Kingston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Kelly tries to hold on but Kingston pushes him away. Kelly really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Kingston landing strikes, looking to finish!
It looks like Pat Kelly has been cut. Kingston controlling from the full mount. Let's hope that Kingston has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Kingston lands a couple of good shots and Kelly has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kingston has good solid back control here. Kelly has hold of Kingston's leg, trying to break free but it's let Kingston lock up a rear naked choke! This could be big trouble! Kelly is turning an unusual color here… he's out! Kingston throws him to one side and jumps onto the cage to celebrate with his fans.
