Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Diesel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Scott Trip!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.

Trip clinches.

Trip breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Diesel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Trip was covering up waiting for the punch and Diesel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Diesel wants to control from the top but Trip keeps moving.
Trip wants to sweep but no luck.
Diesel trying to control but Trip is working from the bottom.

Diesel decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The fight stays on the outside here - Diesel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Trip drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Diesel defends it well.

Trip gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Trip wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Diesel manages to pass to side control.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Diesel lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Diesel stands up out of the half guard.
Diesel fails to land with a series of punches.
Trip tries to counter by closing the distance.
Trip looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
It looked like Diesel wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Trip misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Diesel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Trip, pushing him back against the cage.
Trip taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Diesel pulls guard effortlessly.
Trip must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Diesel looking to control.
Diesel manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Trip manages to get himself to full guard.

Diesel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Diesel is looking to stand up but Trip won't let him.
Trip wants to stand but Diesel is controlling the position.
Trip has his hands on Diesel's head, controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Trip keeping moving, preventing Diesel from controlling successfully.
Diesel passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Trip is looking to regain half guard here but Diesel keeps moving and retains side control.
Diesel scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Trip to see if he's OK.
Trip taking punishment in the form of punches.

A lull in the action here as Diesel stalls from top position.
Diesel wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trip keeps working.

Diesel is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Trip is trying to escape and Diesel transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Trip is forced to tap! Nice work there by Diesel! Very nice indeed!
