Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bernard Sunday (ranked 5755 p4p, 4020 weight class) and Robert Parker (ranked 479 p4p, 405 weight class). The key to victory for Bernard Sunday has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bernard Sunday ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robert Parker! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.

Parker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sunday defends well and Parker ends up having to push Sunday into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. It looks like Robert Parker has been cut. Sunday wants to clinch up but Parker keeps it at a distance. Parker closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Sunday 's guard. Or the ring announcers come to think of it. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Parker displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sunday . Sunday lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Parker circles away quickly and effectively. Parker is looking for the big counter here. Sunday swings widly with a right hand

Robert Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Sunday 's half guard. Sunday has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Parker escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Parker! Parker remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sunday wants to control but Parker postures up. Sunday takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Sunday is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sunday is trying to control Parker's posture but Parker avoids it. Parker is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sunday knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Robert Parker has got the better of the ground game so far. Parker forces Sunday back against the cage and clinches. Parker has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sunday regains guard immediately. Parker chips away with some ground and pound. Sunday has a closed guard, preventing Parker from standing up. Sunday throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Parker wants to stand but Sunday has a closed guard, so he can't escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
