Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Core (ranked 3427 p4p, 2901 weight class) and Johnny Somebody (ranked 444 p4p, 396 weight class). Core comes to the cage accompanied by Undead. Somebody has chosen America, Fuck Yeah! as his entrance music. Johnny Somebody has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Core fails with the takedown
and Somebody counters with a stiff right hand.
Core has his takedown stuffed
and Somebody counters with a nice body shot.
David Core seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown attempt by Core or perhaps it was just good defense by Somebody, which made it look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Core. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Core gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Somebody counters with a right hand to the body.
Somebody slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Core tries for a takedown but Somebody circles away easily
enabling Somebody to counter with a crisp jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Somebody connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Core covering up! Somebody comes in with a big uppercut and Core goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Johnny Somebody!
After winning the bout, Johnny Somebody thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
David Core spoke after the fight, saying 'I am going to work on my shortcomings to come back even stronger!'.
