Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Hines (ranked 3331 p4p, 2651 weight class) and Harvey Spindley (ranked 432 p4p, 365 weight class). Harvey Spindley has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tyler Hines!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Harvey Spindley !
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Marco Blurström.

Spindley works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Spindley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Spindley is quick to defend against it.
Hines looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Spindley misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hines.
Hines appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Sloppy strikes from Spindley . Those never looked like landing.
Spindley moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Hines is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hines has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Spindley avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Hines wants to take the fight to the mat but Spindley manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Spindley has had enough of the clinch but Hines keeps him there for the moment.
Hines drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Spindley gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tyler Hines. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hines is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Spindley is pressed up against the cage. Hines has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Spindley down to the mat. Spindley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Spindley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hines.
That kick from Spindley tenderised Hines's leg. Hines is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hines tries to counter with a takedown but Spindley is quick to defend against it.
Spindley explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Spindley throws a series of strikes that have Hines backpedaling.

Spindley throws a combination. Hines tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hines is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Spindley is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Spindley has escaped and now he's on top!


Hines has his foot on Spindley 's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spindley works his way back into a safe position though.

Hines is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Spindley is aware though and is defending well.

Hines had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Spindley defends it easily.

Hines has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spindley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Spindley throws an elbow that misses. Hines uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Spindley 's guard. Nice move by Hines!

We've been informed that Spindley has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Hines postures up in Spindley 's guard and throws a big left but Spindley blocks it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tyler Hines overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Spindley wants to sweep but no luck.

Hines drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Spindley dives on top into guard.

Hines is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spindley defends well.

Hines looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Spindley must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Hines has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Spindley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Hines.
Hines takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Hines is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Spindley 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Spindley is trying to control the action in half guard but Hines is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Spindley looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Spindley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hines. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Spindley prevents Hines from improving his position.
Hines wants to control but Spindley is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Hines is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Spindley pulls his head out easily.

Hines pushes a forearm under Spindley 's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Spindley is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
