Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Moore (ranked 4838 p4p, 4650 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 601 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz has chosen Gangstas Paradise as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Moore! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nate Diaz! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moore scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Moore moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Diaz tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Moore wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Moore is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Diaz will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Diaz is looking for a sweep. Moore throws a strike aimed at the side of Diaz's head but Diaz avoids it well. Moore working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diaz striking from the bottom but nothing landed.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moore just content to control the position. Moore avoids the strikes from the bottom by Diaz. Diaz is looking to reverse the position. Moore decides to take the fight back to the feet. Moore shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Diaz manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Moore stands up from Diaz's guard - Moore perhaps looking for a knockout. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moore paws at him with a jab and circles away. Moore is looking to counter the offense by Diaz and move into the clinch. Excellent takedown into side control there by Moore. Diaz is being controlled here. Diaz manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moore pulls his head out easily. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diaz wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Moore perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Diaz looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Moore tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diaz misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Diaz is in trouble now - Moore has advanced to mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Moore controlling the position easily from mount. Moore looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moore pulls his head out easily. Diaz looks winded! Moore is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Diaz has managed to free his arm - good work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Moore blocks the strikes from Diaz.
Still in half guard, Moore seems content to control. Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Moore pulls his head out easily. Moore stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Diaz to get to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Moore seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Moore takes a swing at Diaz's ribcage but misses. Diaz wants to counter the offense by Moore and move into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Moore decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Moore tries to pass the half guard into mount. Diaz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Diaz wants to improve his position but Moore is controlling well.

Moore looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Diaz with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Moore sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Moore lands a nice short elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Moore moves nicely into side control. Diaz tries to improve position but can't. Moore decides to stand back up. Diaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Moore slaps away a takedown attempt from Diaz, before circling back to the center of the mat. Moore throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Moore finishes the takedown easily into guard. Moore stands up from guard. Let's bang! Diaz closes the distance and clinches up with Moore, looking for a takedown. Diaz pushes Moore against the cage but Moore circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Diaz's guard. Diaz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Moore with a nice head shot there. Ryan Moore overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Moore's corner is telling him to maintain position. Diaz looking for a guillotine here but Moore defends easily.

Diaz tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Moore presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Moore controlling the pace for now. Moore lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Diaz hang on? Moore working the ground and pound effectively.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Moore content just to control the position here. Moore's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Moore has control of Diaz's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Diaz regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Diaz is desperately trying to improve his position but Moore has a good base and remains in mount.

Moore lands a couple of good shots and Diaz has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Diaz tries to break free.

Moore unloading with bombs! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Moore controlling the pace for now. Ryan Moore is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Moore with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
