Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

Sampson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sampson trying to control from half guard but Peterson is working away.

Sampson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Peterson is just riding it out for now. Sampson eventually gives up the hold.
Peterson pushes Sampson off looking to stand but Sampson dives back in and keeps control.
Peterson tries to roll over but Sampson keeps him under control.
Sampson wants to pass the guard but Peterson is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sampson is looking for a kimura but Peterson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Sampson to get the leverage.
Peterson is trying to get back to full guard.

Sampson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Peterson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Sampson.

Sampson seems to be working for a kimura but Peterson defends the submission attempt.

Peterson is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sampson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Peterson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Sampson has hold of Peterson's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Peterson seems comfortable defending it but Sampson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Peterson is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Peterson is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Sampson couldn't care less - he's delighted!
