Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Soliz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guilherme Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Soliz might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Yugto. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gilberto Soliz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Guilherme Santos! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santos looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Santos drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Soliz is trying to get back to his feet. Santos decides to stand back up. Santos steps back and let's Soliz get back to his feet. Santos fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Santos feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Santos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Soliz wants to stand up but Santos is controlling him. Soliz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Soliz is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos stands up from Soliz's guard - Santos perhaps looking for a knockout. Guilherme Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santos tries a head kick but it misses.
Santos gets the takedown into side control. Santos works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Soliz is trying to control Santos's posture but Santos avoids it. Santos passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Soliz! Soliz really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Soliz is looking to escape. Soliz throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.

Despite being in the dominant position, Guilherme Santos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Soliz gets caught flat footed, as Santos shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Santos gets to his feet - Soliz follows without any prompting. Soliz moves in looking to clinch but Santos pushes him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Santos shoots in for a takedown but Soliz shows good takedown defense. Soliz has his takedown stuffed and Santos counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Soliz connecting with a few gentle strikes. Santos decides to stand up. Santos lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Soliz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Santos counters with a nice double leg into guard. Santos postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Soliz wriggles free and stands up. Santos looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Soliz! Santos looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Soliz tries to lock up and control but Santos gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Soliz is trying to stand up. Soliz wants to control but Santos is having none of it.

Soliz is desperately trying to improve his position but Santos has a good base and remains in mount. Soliz tries to hold on but Santos pushes him away. Santos has hold of Soliz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Soliz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Soliz is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Guilherme Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Soliz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Santos counters with a two punch combo. Santos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Santos stands up from Soliz's guard - Santos perhaps looking for a knockout. Santos shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Soliz is looking to escape. Soliz is trying to control but can't.
Santos wants to control but Soliz is keeping him busy. Soliz has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Santos is working away from the top position though. Soliz looks like he's trying to stand up.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Soliz misses with a head kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Santos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Santos showed some decent athleticism there. Soliz is looking to escape. Soliz is staying active underneath Santos, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Soliz is pressing down on Santos's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Santos postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Soliz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there. Soliz has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Santos off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santos has his takedown stuffed and Soliz counters with a single leg into guard. Santos didn't expect that. Soliz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Santos, up you get! Gilberto Soliz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! No luck for Soliz with that takedown attempt. Soliz tries to clinch but fails miserably and Santos counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Soliz's guard now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Soliz has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santos can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Soliz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Guilherme Santos. Well Santos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
