Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yelch Switzer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Tomson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.

Switzer throws out a loose jab but Tomson uses good head movement to avoid it. Tomson is looking to clinch. Switzer swings and misses with a hook to the body.

A little feinted left hand from Switzer on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Tomson fails to land with a series of punches.
Switzer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Switzer avoids a punch combination nicely.
Switzer is looking to counter punch. Tomson ducks under a wild hook from Switzer. Tomson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Switzer paws at him with a jab and circles away. Switzer misses with a straight left. Tomson tries to clinch up. Tomson throws a series of punches but Switzer avoids them all with ease. Tomson tries to bum rush Switzer with a series of wild strikes but Switzer uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A jab from Switzer misses. A punch combination from Tomson misses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Switzer crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Tomson - the referee stops the clock and Switzer gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Tomson. Switzer manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. The fighters circling - Switzer throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A big right from Switzer misses. Tomson misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A jab from Switzer misses. Switzer throws a big shot that misses. Tomson tries to clinch up. Tomson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Switzer throws a shot from downtown. Tomson moves away and avoids it. Tomson slips under a jab from Switzer. Tomson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Switzer swats him away and circles back towards the center. Switzer misses the jab. Tomson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Switzer moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Switzer scores with a punch to the head. Tomson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Switzer scores with the left hand. Tomson knows he should have avoided that one.
Tomson is rocked! A swing and a miss from Switzer. Tomson is still on wobbly legs! Can Switzer finish him? Tomson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Switzer drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Tomson right on the button. Tomson goes down! Switzer follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Switzer gets the win via TKO!
