Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Joss Goldust! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Paul Huknberg! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.

Goldust is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Huknberg is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Huknberg has escaped and now he's on top!

Goldust is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Goldust has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Huknberg is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Goldust. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Goldust gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huknberg sitting and controlling from the half guard. Goldust tries to get to full guard but Huknberg has control of the leg. Goldust looking for subs from the bottom but Huknberg mounts him! Huknberg has hold of Goldust's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Goldust manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Goldust is looking to improve his position but Huknberg isn't that keen on the idea. Huknberg is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Huknberg!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Paul Huknberg! Paul Huknberg spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
