Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Wolf (ranked 367 p4p, 901 weight class) and Ovidio Kiran (ranked 56 p4p, 128 weight class). Kiran has chosen Katmandu as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Aaron Wolf has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Wolf! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ovidio Kiran! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch lands to the side of Kiran 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wolf misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kiran.
Kiran looks to land a left hand but Wolf moved out of range nicely. Kiran misses with a straight left. Wolf is looking to counter the offense by Kiran and move into the clinch. Wolf swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wolf tries to clinch up but Kiran circles away and keeps his distance. The fight stays on the outside here - Wolf looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Wolf has closed the distance and engaged Kiran in a clinch.
Wolf is trying to pull guard but Kiran has him pressed against the cage. Wolf misses with a short punch on the inside. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wolf can't find room to land a body shot as Kiran controls the action.

Wolf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Kiran stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Kiran throws a jab but it's blocked by Wolf. Wolf scores with a hook.

and Kiran counters by moving into the clinch. Wolf lands with a left to the head. Wolf tries to throw a body punch but Kiran avoids it by throwing Wolf back against the cage. Wolf lands with a left to the head. Kiran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kiran looks to land a right hand but Wolf moved out of range. Wolf throws a sloppy body shot
letting Kiran counter with a right hand.
It looks like Aaron Wolf has been cut. Wolf looks to score with a jab to the body but Kiran is just out of range. Wolf gets a clinch. Wolf manages to pull guard.
Kiran avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wolf is adopting a defensive guard. Wolf will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Wolf has his foot on Kiran's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kiran works his way back into a safe position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wolf looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kiran avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wolf is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kiran defends well. Kiran must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kiran decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Wolf, up you get! Wolf with a body punch. A glancing blow. Kiran misses with a looping right. Wolf is looking to wear down Kiran with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Wolf takes a swing at Kiran's ribcage but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiran gets tackled into the cage by Wolf. Wolf maintains the clinch. Wolf is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kiran to keep the fight standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aaron Wolf. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wolf misses with a punch on the inside.
Kiran blocks an uppercut.
Kiran manages to break the clinch.
Wolf tests Kiran's chin there with a solid looking shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Kiran. Wolf ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kiran moves away. Wolf looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Kiran misses with a looping right. Kiran bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wolf's head backwards. Kiran throws a jab when Wolf was well out of range. Kiran uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wolf.
Wolf comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Wolf moves out of range of the strikes. Kiran throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Wolf sees it coming and avoids it easily. Wolf tries to counter by clinching up but Kiran breaks away and moves out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolf takes a swing at Kiran's ribcage but misses. Kiran swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kiran takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice straight punches there by Kiran. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kiran. Kiran connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Kiran jabbing away but nothing is landing. Wolf lands a lovely overhand right. A punch lands to the side of Kiran 's head but he takes it in his stride. Wolf just misses with a punch to the body.
Kiran tries to counter by closing the distance. Wolf lands a nice hook to Kiran's body. Kiran takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Wolf lands a nice looking body shot.
Wolf checks a low kick from Kiran. Wolf is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wolf lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Kiran at a distance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aaron Wolf dominated that round. The cut man is working on Aaron Wolf's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Wolf slips a straight right by Kiran. Kiran might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Kiran is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wolf. A looping hook to the body misses from Wolf. Kiran does a little dance to reset his feet. Wolf lands a lovely overhand right. Kiran throws a jab when Wolf was well out of range. Wolf lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kiran's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wolf connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kiran scrambles back to his feet. Decent striking displayed by Kiran there. Wolf scores with a nice right hand.

Wolf is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kiran throws a jab when Wolf was well out of range. Wolf is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kiran swats away the attempt to clinch by Wolf.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kiran waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Wolf. Nice defenses there by Wolf. Wolf rushes Kiran and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Wolf doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Wolf tries to work over Kiran's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Wolf misses with some punches.

Kiran prevents a body shot from Wolf. Kiran breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Wolf scores with a sloppy right hand. Kiran should have avoided that one. Wolf is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kiran can do to turn this around? Kiran's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Wolf connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kiran scrambles back to his feet. Wolf drops his hands momentarily and Kiran takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wolf blocks a jab. Wolf clinches up with Kiran and pushes him back against the cage. Wolf pulls Kiran into guard.
Wolf had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kiran defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kiran is looking to stand up but Wolf won't let him. Wolf is trying to keep Kiran in close.

Wolf has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kiran can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kiran would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Wolf seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Wolf looking for a triangle here. Kiran is fighting it but it looks tight! Wolf pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kiran is tapping out - this one is all over!

A very excited looking Aaron Wolf made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction. Ovidio Kiran was interviewed post fight and said 'Lachhaar-pato! Back to the gym.'.
