And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 0 losses; Commander Gree! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.
Let's get this grappling contest under way! Who will be victorious? Parker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Parker (4) vs (0) Gree Gree regains half guard. Parker is looking to advance position but Gree won't allow it. Gree controlling the position well. Parker looking for a submission but Gree manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Parker tries to free his leg and advance position but Gree is retaining full guard. Parker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gree on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker stands and throws Gree's legs to the side, diving into side control. Score +3 for passing guard: Parker (7) vs (0) Gree Parker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Parker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Gree, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parker tries for a kimura but Gree is defending well. Gree manages to get back to half guard. Parker wants to pass the guard but Gree is defending well. Gree is controlling Parker's trapped leg to prevent Parker from advancing to side control. Gree is looking to control Parker's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gree avoid being mounted? Parker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker is thwarting Gree's attempts to control the position. Parker seems to be working for a kimura but Gree defends the submission attempt. Parker trying to mount his opponent but Gree defends it. Gree gets full guard. Gree has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Parker should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Gree has tightened it up now! Parker should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Commander Gree! A very excited looking Commander Gree rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed. |
