Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Connor Royale (ranked 2838 p4p, 2411 weight class) and Marty Snoozeman (ranked 397 p4p, 349 weight class). Snoozeman is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nebraska - Bruce Springsteen. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Royale! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Marty Snoozeman! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Royale ducks under a wild hook from Snoozeman. Snoozeman on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Royale. Royale obviously looking to wear him down.
Snoozeman cracks Royale with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Snoozeman has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Snoozeman uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Royale scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Marty Snoozeman has been cut. Royale tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Snoozeman was well out of range. Poor timing from Royale. Snoozeman wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. A solid leg kick lands there for Royale.
Royale uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Snoozeman. Royale went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Royale throws out a token jab with nothing on it. We've been told by Royale's head coaches at Gym of Rock that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Snoozeman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Royale to the mat! Royale manages to get full guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Royale is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Snoozeman is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snoozeman passes easily into side control. Nice work. Snoozeman has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Royale is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Snoozeman yanks on the arm and Royale is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Snoozeman.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Marty Snoozeman! Marty Snoozeman made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Listen, I Fought This Fight Sitting At About 30%. Everybody Knows What I'm Capable Of.
