The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Henderson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Henderson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Anaconda as he jumps to the side.
Hercules Henderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anaconda connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Henderson pushes Anaconda up against the cage in a clinch.
Henderson is pressed up against the cage. Anaconda has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Henderson down to the mat. Henderson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Anaconda scores with a jab. Henderson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Anaconda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Henderson's guard.

Anaconda is looking to slow Henderson down with leg kicks.
Anaconda scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Anaconda is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Henderson's half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Despite being in the dominant position, Anaconda Anaconda just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Henderson looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Anaconda lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Anaconda, as that shot connected.
A lazy left from Anaconda finds it's target.
Henderson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Anaconda's corner calls for a 1-2. Anaconda obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Anaconda has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
