Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ichigo Todayashi (ranked 3873 p4p, 4221 weight class) and Paul Dalenger (ranked 185 p4p, 191 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichigo Todayashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Paul Dalenger! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, John Kavanagh and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalenger is looking to clinch but Todayashi is avoiding it.
Todayashi clinches up with Dalenger and pushes him back against the cage. Dalenger drags the fight down to the ground.
Todayashi is fighting to break Dalenger's control of his arms but Dalenger is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Dalenger is looking for a triangle but Todayashi pushes his legs off easily.

Dalenger looking for a sweep. Not yet Dalenger, not yet. Dalenger has control of Todayashi's left arm, preventing Todayashi from doing any damage. Dalenger trying to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dalenger is on top in guard.
Todayashi wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Todayashi is looking to stand up but Dalenger isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dalenger postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Dalenger content to stall in guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Todayashi is working an open guard so Dalenger takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Todayashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dalenger moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Dalenger unleashes a big counter combination but Todayashi bobs and weaves and avoids any damage. Todayashi checks a leg kick. Todayashi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Todayashi is breathing heavily. Dalenger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dalenger is pressing down on Todayashi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Dalenger looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Dalenger trying to keep a closed guard but Todayashi is proving a slippery customer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Horrible takedown attempt by Dalenger or perhaps it was just good defense by Todayashi, which made it look bad. It looked like Todayashi wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Todayashi. Dalenger moves into range and clinches up with Todayashi. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Dalenger dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Dalenger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Dalenger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Todayashi defends well and Dalenger ends up having to push Todayashi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Dalenger has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Dalenger closes this distance looking for a takedown but Todayashi circles away. Todayashi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Todayashi throws a series of punches but Dalenger avoids them all with ease. Dalenger throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Todayashi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Todayashi looks for a takedown but Dalenger sprawls well. Dalenger throws a counter combo. Dalenger scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Todayashi explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Dalenger checks a low kick from Todayashi. Dalenger throws a shot from downtown. Todayashi moves away and avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dalenger bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Dalenger sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Todayashi is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalenger is trying to get an arm triangle but Todayashi is defending well. Dalenger has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Todayashi! Dalenger raining down shots from the mount! Dalenger is landing with some decent strikes but Todayashi is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Dalenger controlling from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dalenger lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Dalenger content just to control the position here. Dalenger working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Todayashi turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Dalenger off and cradles Todayashi's limp body as Dalenger celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Paul Dalenger!
