Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Gomez (ranked 22926 p4p, 24421 weight class) and Hamoud Mohammed (ranked 699 p4p, 664 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Gomez swings widly with a right hand
and Mohammed cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Mohammed throws a body shot but no joy.
Gomez attempts a counter takedown but Mohammed avoids it well and moves away.
Mohammed misses with a hook. Gomez ducked under it nicely.
Gomez throws a leg kick which misses Mohammed's front leg but catches the back leg as Mohammed tries to avoid it.
Gomez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Mohammed throws out the jab.
Gomez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Mohammed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mohammed wants it to stay on the feet.

Mohammed stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gomez.

and Gomez counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gomez is standing up over Mohammed. Mohammed looks to escape but Gomez dives into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gomez working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Mohammed turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gomez off and cradles Mohammed's limp body as Gomez celebrates with his corner.
