Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Caesar Brooks (ranked 3465 p4p, 4473 weight class) and Jamal Browne (ranked 450 p4p, 533 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Caesar Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jamal Browne!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Browne shoots for a takedown but Brooks saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Browne dives in for a single leg takedown but Brooks sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Browne fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Caesar Brooks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Browne.

Browne moves into the clinch.
Brooks changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Browne fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Brooks dives in and grabs Browne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Browne pushes down on Brooks's head and hops out.
Browne swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Browne fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Brooks sprawls well initially but Browne persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Browne sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Brooks is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Brooks sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Brooks is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Browne pulls his head out easily.
Browne looks to land a strike but Brooks avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Browne stands and steps away. Brooks gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Brooks shoots in for a double leg but Browne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Browne pushes Brooks up against the cage in a clinch.

Browne has hold of one of Brooks's legs. Brooks is fighting the takedown attempt but Browne gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Brooks has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Browne off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brooks utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Brooks drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Browne gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Brooks is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Browne is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Browne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Brooks has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Browne has managed to get both his arms back between Brooks's legs - danger averted.

Brooks escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Browne gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Browne is looking to work some ground and pound but Brooks has wrist control.

Brooks throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Browne displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Caesar Brooks will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Browne has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Brooks uses from the top position.

Browne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Brooks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Browne is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Brooks is controlling him.

Brooks misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Brooks shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Browne pinned against the cage. Browne gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamal Browne showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Brooks shoots in but no luck this time.
Browne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brooks is fending him off so far but Browne persists. Nope, Brooks circles away and we're back to standing.

Browne is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

Brooks is fighting off a takedown attempt but Browne is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Brooks to the mat. Brooks regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Brooks has Browne pulled in close to control his posture.
Browne slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Browne looking to sit in guard and control but Brooks gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Brooks is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Browne is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Browne has escaped and now he's on top!

Browne is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Browne must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Browne throws a strike but Brooks rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Browne is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well Browne has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
