Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zack Hudson (ranked 6561 p4p, 2499 weight class) and Dom Walsh (ranked 623 p4p, 358 weight class). Dom Walsh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zack Hudson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dom Walsh! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Atkins and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hudson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Walsh looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Walsh clinches with his opponent.
Hudson lands a left hand.
Hudson prevents a takedown attempt there.

Hudson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Walsh fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hudson sprawls well initially but Walsh persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Hudson taking some punishment here, with Walsh in his half guard. Walsh scoring with strikes to the body and head.
It looks like Zack Hudson has been cut. Walsh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hudson is defending against the submission attempts here by Walsh.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Walsh throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hudson wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hudson's head. Walsh is trying to work for a kimura but Hudson is defending well.
Walsh decides to return to a standing position. Hudson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walsh circles away quickly and effectively. Hudson moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Walsh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Walsh wants to counter with a clinch but Hudson pushes him away. Hudson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Walsh doesn't seem bothered though. Walsh fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Hudson dives in for a single leg takedown but Walsh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Walsh clinches up with Hudson and pushes him back against the cage. Walsh with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Hudson manages to break the clinch.

Walsh changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Walsh stands up over Hudson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Walsh works over Hudson with some ground and pound from guard. Walsh postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Hudson wants to stand and escape but Walsh is having none of it. Walsh landing some decent shots from guard. Hudson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Walsh on the ground. Hudson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Walsh gets to his feet - Hudson follows without any prompting. Walsh fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hudson, pushing him back against the cage. Walsh tries to work over Hudson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Hudson avoids a wild elbow strike from Walsh. Hudson wants to get back to striking at distance but Walsh won't allow it.
Hudson taking a breather. A short right from Walsh on the inside. Walsh decides to pull guard. Walsh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hudson is one step ahead there. Hudson content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Walsh has locked up a guillotine! Walsh's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Hudson is holding on here and Walsh must be using up a lot of energy. Hudson has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Walsh gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Dom Walsh! A relieved looking Dom Walsh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
