Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Phang Yun (ranked 4719 p4p, 4889 weight class) and Sammy Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Phang Yun! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Sammy Sanchez! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Bart Greer.

Yun has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sanchez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Yun pulls Sanchez into guard.

Sanchez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Yun wants to take a breather but Sanchez is having none of it. Yun tries to pass to full mount but Sanchez defends it. Yun is trying to control the action in half guard but Sanchez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Yun is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Sanchez is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Yun content to control rather than advance. Yun is thwarting Sanchez's attempts to control the position. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Yun tries to keep at a distance but Sanchez has taken the fight into the clinch. Sanchez stalling against the cage.

That was a close round but I would say that Phang Yun will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sanchez is continuing to stall. Yun is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
