Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ugo Barnes (ranked 6595 p4p, 7155 weight class) and Gregor Borktan (ranked 597 p4p, 627 weight class). Gregor Borktan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ugo Barnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gregor Borktan!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Bruno Lombardi and Joseph Jones.

Barnes lands with a hook. Borktan tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Borktan looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Barnes looks to land a combination but Borktan avoids it well.
Barnes misses with a few strikes there.
Borktan takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Barnes stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Borktan takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Barnes lands a body shot.
Barnes lands a left and a right that send Borktan crashing to the mat, dazed. Barnes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Borktan takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Borktan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Barnes throws a shot to the body.
Borktan is still on wobbly legs! Can Barnes finish him?
Barnes finds Borktan's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Borktan flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Barnes lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Borktan will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ugo Barnes!
