Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zai Druggs (ranked 1259 p4p, 1822 weight class) and Caio Peieira (ranked 145 p4p, 194 weight class). Druggs's entrance music is Black Sabbath - Snowblind. A fine choice. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Caio Peieira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Caio Peieira!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.

Some wild striking there from Druggs.
Peieira with the counter takedown but Druggs avoids it easily.
Peieira moves into range and clinches up with Druggs.
Druggs comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Caio Peieira has been cut.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Druggs.
Peieira slowing the pace effectively.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Peieira takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Druggs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Druggs lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Peieira backwards.
Peieira jumps guard but Druggs stands there with Peieira around his waist. Peieira gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Druggs blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee is keeping an eye on Peieira - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Druggs knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Peieira on the ground.

Peieira manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Druggs manages to get himself to full guard.

Peieira tries to free his leg and advance position but Druggs is retaining full guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Druggs tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Peieira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Druggs knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Peieira looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Peieira tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Druggs gets back to half guard.
Druggs wants to get back to full guard.
Peieira is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Druggs tries to roll over but Peieira keeps him under control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Peieira works his way into full mount!
Druggs tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Peieira goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Druggs turns into him and now he's in Peieira's guard.

Peieira is pushing down on Druggs's leg trying to pass to half guard. Druggs is fighting to maintain full guard but Peieira has managed to sneak the leg through.

Peieira wants to work for an arm triangle but Druggs is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Caio Peieira dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Peieira ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Druggs moves away.
Peieira takes one to the chin there.
A big right from Peieira misses.
Peieira tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Druggs was well out of range. Poor timing from Peieira.
Druggs slips a jab from Peieira.
Peieira fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Druggs manages to avoid it.
Peieira misses with a wild body shot.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Druggs, as that shot connected.
Peieira is rocked!
That has opened up Caio Peieira's cut even more.
Peieira misses with a straight right.
Peieira is still on wobbly legs! Can Druggs finish him?
Peieira tries to score with a low kick but Druggs moves his leg out of the way.
A punch combination from Druggs misses.
Peieira misses with a head kick.
Peieira seems to have recovered his senses.
Druggs throws a head kick that misses.
Druggs connects with a looping right hand.
Druggs drops Peieira with a big left hand! Peieira is injured, injured bad! Druggs jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zai Druggs!
Zai Druggs retains his featherweight title!
An intense looking Zai Druggs took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'These are Savage Fists. Y'ALL AIN'T READY FOR THIS POWER! SAVAGE FIGHTTWEAR SCHOOL OF PAIN, FIGHTGEAR OF CHAMPS!'.
