Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kazimierz Kusy (ranked 4748 p4p, 25147 weight class) and Maris Dzidzus (ranked 538 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kusy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Lukasyno & Kriso - Mój świat feat. Miss God. Maris Dzidzus will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kazimierz Kusy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maris Dzidzus! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.

Kusy controls from within his opponent's guard. Kusy is working Dzidzus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kusy sitting in guard here, content to control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dzidzus tries to land a sweep but no joy. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Dzidzus is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Dzidzus tries to lock up and control but Kusy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kusy punishing his opponent with strikes. Kusy prevents Dzidzus from getting the reversal. Kusy controlling the position easily from mount. Kusy goes for an armbar but Dzidzus turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dzidzus. Dzidzus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kusy has his feet on Dzidzus's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Kusy darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dzidzus is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Kusy scores with a couple of nice shots. Kusy content to control rather than advance. Dzidzus instigates a clinch. Kusy goes for a takedown attempt but Dzidzus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kusy closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Dzidzus gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kusy.
Dzidzus is defending well against a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kazimierz Kusy. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kusy pulls guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dzidzus wants to control from the top but Kusy keeps moving. Kusy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dzidzus trying to control the position from guard on top but Kusy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Dzidzus trying to move into half guard but instead Kusy has managed to sweep! Dzidzus is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Kusy makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dzidzus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kusy is one step ahead there. Kusy forces his way into half guard. Kusy seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Kusy slows the pace down in half guard. Kusy drops an elbow to the side of Dzidzus's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kusy connects with a nice short shot to Dzidzus's temple. Kusy slips a nice elbow through Dzidzus's hands, connecting with Dzidzus's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kusy slows the pace down in half guard. Kusy has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kusy controlling the position easily from mount. Dzidzus is in a horrible position here. Kusy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kusy cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kusy takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Kusy working for a submission but Dzidzus is keeping him at bay. A nice elbow there by Kusy. Kusy lands a big shot there that rocks Dzidzus but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kusy avoids the attempt from Dzidzus to control. Kusy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Dzidzus to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Dzidzus shrugs it off. Kusy punishing his opponent with strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kusy lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Dzidzus is breathing heavily. Kusy lands a nice shot to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazimierz Kusy dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Dzidzus fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kusy, pushing him back against the cage. Dzidzus jumps guard but Kusy stands there with Dzidzus around his waist. Dzidzus gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kusy is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dzidzus can't fight it off and eventually Kusy manages to take the fight to the floor. Dzidzus looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Kusy might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Kusy is in close to Dzidzus's body, working some short punches and elbows. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kusy's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Kusy working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Dzidzus's head. Kusy postures up and lands a big shot to Dzidzus's brow. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kusy's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kusy landing some decent shots from guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kusy with a nice head shot there. Kusy stays in close to Dzidzus's body and controls the position. Kusy is working Dzidzus over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kusy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kusy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Dzidzus can do to turn this around? Dzidzus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kusy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Dzidzus takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kusy with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kusy keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dzidzus's head. Kusy working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kusy controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kusy works over Dzidzus with some ground and pound from guard. Kusy is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kusy is stalling in the full guard. Kusy is pushing down on Dzidzus's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dzidzus is fighting to maintain full guard but Kusy has managed to sneak the leg through. Kusy is nestled in close to Dzidzus, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Kazimierz Kusy is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kusy working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kusy controlling the action here.

Kusy is taking a breather. Dzidzus says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
And that's the end of the fight! Kazimierz Kusy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kusy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kazimierz Kusy! After the fight, Kazimierz Kusy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
