Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Trevor Barnes (ranked 3133 p4p, 2738 weight class) and Elam Armis (ranked 414 p4p, 376 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Armis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barnes walks away with a smile on his face. Armis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Armis decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Barnes manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Armis keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Armis loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Barnes scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Armis land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Armis stands and salutes the crowd.
