Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Kenichi Misahawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Monty Don! The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.

Don loads up on a big right hand but Misahawa slips the punch. Misahawa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Don. Misahawa is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Don. Don uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Misahawa.

Misahawa bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Don's head backwards. Misahawa has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Misahawa misses the target. Misahawa's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Misahawa duly obliges. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Don lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. A looping hook to the body misses from Don. Misahawa does a little dance to reset his feet. Misahawa is looking for a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Don keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Don misses with an uppercut. Misahawa saw that one coming. Don shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Don was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Don working the head with strikes. Misahawa is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Don advances to mount. Don lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Don landing shots from mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Don looking to isolate an arm here. Misahawa doesn't see it coming and as Don extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Don!
