Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Jackson (ranked 1692 p4p, 937 weight class) and Tapu Koko (ranked 234 p4p, 132 weight class). Jackson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Undisputed Champion. Koko has chosen Aotearoa as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dwayne Jackson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tapu Koko! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koko drops his hands momentarily and Jackson takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Tapu Koko has been cut. Koko takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. We've been told by Jackson's head coaches at Gladius Elite Facilities that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Koko doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Jackson looks to land a combination but Koko avoids it well. Jackson swinging wildly here.

and Koko counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jackson loads up on a big right hand but Koko slips the punch. A slow jab from Koko misses its intended target. Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Koko. Jackson looks to throw the jab but Koko is out of range. Koko moves out of range as Jackson strikes. Koko lands a jab to the nose.
It looks like Dwayne Jackson has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Koko blocks a jab. Jackson throws a combination that misses and Koko counters with a left to the body. Koko moves out of range of the strikes. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Koko! But no joy. Jackson misses with a left hand and Koko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. It seemed like Koko was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Dwayne Jackson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Jackson takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Koko moves out of range of the strikes. Koko looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Jackson misses with a hook. Koko ducked under it nicely. Jackson misses with a body shot.
A little jabbing left from Koko on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Jackson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Jackson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A slow jab from Koko misses its intended target. Koko misses the jab. Jackson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Koko.
Jackson looks to land a left hand but Koko moved out of range nicely. A big left from Jackson misses. It seemed like Koko was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. A jab from Koko finds it's way through Jackson's defenses. Koko looks to throw the jab but Jackson is out of range. Jackson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Koko misses with a hook. Jackson ducked under it nicely. Jackson connects with the punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Nice defenses there by Koko. Jackson throws a lazy uppercut
and Koko counters with a nice right hand that sends Jackson toppling to the canvas! Jackson scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Koko finish him?!

Dwayne Jackson's cut is getting worse. Jackson misses with a body shot
and Koko counters with a lovely shot to the body. Jackson is breathing heavily. Jackson takes a body punch but keeps moving. Jackson avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Jackson gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Koko gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Jackson is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tapu Koko! A victorious Tapu Koko thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
