Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Piletich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Deniz Koc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matt Piletich has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Piletich!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Deniz Koc!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Paulo Santos and Mauricio Rocha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piletich scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Piletich tries to move to mount but Koc blocks the move with his legs.

Piletich cracks Koc with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Piletich is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Koc can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

A close third round but Deniz Koc just about did enough to take it.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Koc isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Piletich stacks Koc on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Piletich!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Koc throws a leg kick which misses Piletich's front leg but catches the back leg as Piletich tries to avoid it.
