Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 26 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Henry The Crab! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.

Collins has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. The Crab lands a hook that snaps the head of Collins backwards. Collins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. The Crab has a takedown stuffed. Collins tries to keep at a distance but The Crab has taken the fight into the clinch. Collins is trying to break free. The Crab ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. The Crab no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Crab avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The Crab throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Collins escapes and throws The Crab's legs to the side, diving into side control! The Crab is looking to regain half guard here but Collins keeps moving and retains side control. Collins decides to stand back up. The Crab steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Collins. The Crab tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Collins swivels and escapes. Collins tries to sprawl but The Crab drives through with a takedown into half guard. Collins has one foot on The Crab's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice straight punches there by Collins. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Collins. A cross from Collins lands. The Crab will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. The Crab defending well as Collins loads up on a big left hand. Collins works the jab nicely. Collins moves into range and clinches up with The Crab. The Crab is looking for a takedown. The Crab misses with a knee to the head. Collins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Collins throws a jab but it's blocked by The Crab. The Crab appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Collins lands with an uppercut that bounces The Crab off the cage and back into range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The Crab's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Collins connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! The Crab scrambles back to his feet. Collins throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Collins lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

The Crab closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Collins's guard. Collins is looking to stand up but The Crab isn't so interested in that idea. The Crab told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet. The Crab looking to sit in guard and control but Collins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Collins lunges at The Crab with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by The Crab's hand. No joy there for Collins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Collins misses with a straight right. The Crab shoots in for a double leg but Collins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. An attempted straight right counter from Collins misses the target. The fight moves into the clinch position. The Crab is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Collins pulls him back up using the underhooks. Collins tries to circle away but The Crab has him pinned against the cage. The Crab prevents Collins from breaking the clinch. Collins gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from The Crab.

Collins is landing with some decent strikes but The Crab is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. The Crab sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. The Crab looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Collins throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Collins closes the distance and lands a one-two. The Crab shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Collins as he avoids it easily. Collins with a nice cross. The Crab is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Collins slaps away a takedown attempt from The Crab, before circling back to the center of the mat. As The Crab looks to move away, Collins throws a big counter combo but The Crab just gets out of the way. The Crab ducks right into an uppercut from Collins. Collins feints and then cracks The Crab's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow The Crab down. Collins throws a nice looking combination but The Crab bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. A jab from Collins misses. The Crab fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Collins connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between The Crab's hands. Collins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from The Crab. The Crab shoots in but no luck this time. It looked like Collins wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Collins throws a wild combination but nothing lands. The Crab changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Collins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Collins throws a combination that misses and The Crab counters with a stiff right hand. Collins tries to grapple but his opponent circles and The Crab counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Henry The Crab has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The Crab trying to advance position but Collins counters by regaining guard. Collins is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. The Crab presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat. Collins manages to break the clinch.

Collins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. The Crab eats them both and turns towards Collins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. The Crab scores with a takedown into Collins's guard. Collins utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Collins looking to hit a scissor sweep but The Crab is one step ahead there. Collins manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. The Crab manages to get himself to full guard.

Collins is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. The Crab with a flurry of punches that miss. Collins keeping moving, preventing The Crab from controlling successfully. The Crab looking to sit in guard and control but Collins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. The Crab is pulling down on Collins's head to control his posture. The Crab had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Collins defends it easily. Collins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
And that's the end of the fight! Michael Collins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Collins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
