PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yamaoka Yukinobu (ranked 1366 p4p, 2053 weight class) and Bernhard River (ranked 79 p4p, 115 weight class). River has chosen Metallica: Enter Sandman as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yamaoka Yukinobu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bernhard River!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

Yukinobu shoots in looking for a takedown but River manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Yukinobu's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
River swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

River has his foot on Yukinobu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Yukinobu works his way back into a safe position though.

I would just about give that final round to Bernhard River.
Well River has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
