Beacon comes to the cage accompanied by CkY - 96 Quite Bitter Beings. Kevin Beacon has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Patched.
Patched pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Patched throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Patched should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Patched tries to clinch but Beacon moves out of range.
Cabbage Patched seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick lands there from Patched.
A head kick misses from Patched.
Patched shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Beacon as he jumps to the side.
Patched lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Beacon sprawling to the canvas. Patched follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Beacon hang on?
Beacon is rocked!
It looks like Kevin Beacon has been cut.
Beacon is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beacon tries to roll over but Patched keeps him under control.
Patched tries to stand but can't do so whilst Beacon controls his leg.
Patched is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Patched is trying to control the action in half guard but Beacon is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Beacon wants to get back to full guard.
Beacon wants to control but Patched passes into side.
Patched has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
No joy there for Patched, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Patched throws a right hand that Beacon ducks under and follows up with a left that Beacon also avoids with ease.
Beacon scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Patched prevents Beacon from moving into mount.
Beacon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Patched keeps working.
Patched is trying to improve his position.
Beacon tries for a kimura but Patched is defending well.
Beacon tries to stand but Patched is controlling his head.

Beacon misses with the ground and pound.
Patched really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Beacon. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
You can see the frustration on Patched's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Patched is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Patched, right into the meat.
Beacon slips a jab and a cross from Patched.
Patched looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Patched misses with a takedown attempt
and Beacon counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Patched!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patched manages to work a leg through to get back to half guard here. Good work there by Patched, under a barage of strikes from Beacon.
Beacon wants to take a breather but Patched is having none of it.
Beacon is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Patched has managed to free his arm - good work.
Beacon is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Patched reverses the position - he's now on top in Beacon's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Beacon wants to stand and escape but Patched is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cabbage Patched dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kevin Beacon's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Patched misses with a wild combination.
Patched dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beacon. That did some damage!

Patched scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Patched misses with a low kick.
Patched doesn't manage to clinch there - Beacon circles away.
Beacon dodges the punch combination from Patched.
Patched drops Beacon with a big left hand and mounts him. Beacon is in big trouble!
Oh Beacon is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beacon is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Beacon seems to have got his legs back now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Patched content just to control the position here.
Patched looking to control but Beacon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Beacon is wriggling around trying to escape.
Patched tries to control but Beacon wriggling away.
Patched sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Patched has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Patched looking to control but Beacon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Patched controlling his opponent.
Despite being in the dominant position, Cabbage Patched just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Beacon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Patched counters with a beautiful punch that sends Beacon to the canvas!
Kevin Beacon's cut is getting worse.
Patched stands up and waves to Beacon to follow him.
Patched sends Beacon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Patched is motioning to the referee to let Beacon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Beacon is rocked!

Beacon sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Patched turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Patched lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Beacon slips a jab and a cross from Patched.
Patched lands a front kick.
Beacon slips a jab and a cross from Patched.
Patched tries to bum rush Beacon with a series of wild strikes but Beacon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Patched tries to clinch but Beacon is having none of it.
Patched changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
A combination from Patched does no damage.
Patched throws a one two combo.
Patched keeps Beacon at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A left and a right from Patched both land. Nice combination.
Kevin Beacon's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Beacon keeps the fight on the outside.
Patched has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Patched pivots, looking for a leg kick but Beacon is out of range and Patched settles back down.

Cabbage Patched showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Beacon throws a right and a left that Patched avoids nicely.
Patched connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Patched is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Beacon hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
