Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wesley Shutes (ranked 4151 p4p, 3644 weight class) and Johan Johansson (ranked 521 p4p, 475 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Wesley Shutes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johan Johansson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.

Johansson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Shutes looks to score with a jab to the body but Johansson is just out of range.
Johansson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Shutes as he avoids it easily.
A little feinted left hand from Shutes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Johansson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Shutes's waist but Shutes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johansson off to one side.
Shutes moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Johan Johansson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shutes throws a leg kick that is checked
and Johansson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Johansson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Shutes seems keen to control Johansson's posture.
Shutes is looking to stand up but Johansson isn't so interested in that idea.
Johansson is looking to pass into half guard but Shutes pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Shutes is in guard.
Shutes's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Shutes knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Johansson on the ground.
Johansson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Shutes is aware though and is defending well.
Johansson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Shutes is one step ahead there.

Shutes looking to pass the guard.
Shutes wants to control from the top but Johansson keeps moving.
Johansson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Shutes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Johansson is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Shutes frees his head nicely. Oh but Johansson has switched to an armbar! Shutes is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
