PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Elroy Clarks (ranked 963 p4p, 1861 weight class) and Ace Rob (ranked 52 p4p, 103 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elroy Clarks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 21 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ace Rob!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.

Clarks misses with a shot to the body
and Rob counters with a straight right hand.
Clarks goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A jab from Rob does it's job there.
Rob slips a straight right by Clarks.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rob has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Clarks lands a jab to the nose.
Clarks bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rob throws a jab when Clarks was well out of range.
Rob jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Clarks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rob moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Clarks looks to score with a jab to the body but Rob is just out of range.
Rob gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Clarks takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Clarks moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rob, as that shot connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rob tries to clinch up but Clarks circles away and keeps his distance.
Oh Clarks is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rob pushes Clarks away with a front kick.
Clarks walks straight into a right hand from Rob - that's dropped him! Rob jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Clarks from any more punishment! Clarks complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ace Rob!
Our winner, Ace Rob, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
