Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rousimar Pellegrino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burmese Python (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pellegrino comes to the cage accompanied by Sepultura - Roots Bloody Roots. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Python fakes the leg kick and cracks Pellegrino in the body.
Pellegrino throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Python's waist but Python gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pellegrino off to one side.
Python fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pellegrino, pushing him back against the cage.
Pellegrino tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Python just stands there and leans against the cage.
Python gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Pellegrino regains guard.

Python closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Rousimar Pellegrino overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
