Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mcmuffin (ranked 24299 p4p, 25093 weight class) and Jacob Murphy (ranked 658 p4p, 687 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Mcmuffin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jacob Murphy! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Frank Antenori.

Murphy did well to prevent Mcmuffin getting side control. Murphy is trying to stand up here but Mcmuffin is controlling him well. That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mcmuffin lands with a short shot to the head. Mcmuffin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murphy creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mcmuffin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Murphy wants to stand but Mcmuffin has his arm trapped.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Murphy is looking to take a break and control but Mcmuffin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Murphy throwing strikes but Mcmuffin manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Murphy wants to control but Mcmuffin postures up. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Murphy is looking to reverse the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Murphy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcmuffin's guard. Murphy postures up in Mcmuffin's guard and throws a big left but Mcmuffin blocks it. Murphy wants to control from the top but Mcmuffin keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mcmuffin looking for a sweep. Not yet Mcmuffin, not yet. Murphy trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcmuffin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Murphy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Murphy darts in and clinches Mcmuffin up against the cage. Mcmuffin gets through Murphy's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Murphy jumps guard and drags Mcmuffin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Mcmuffin controls from within his opponent's guard. Murphy thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy has an active guard here but Mcmuffin has managed to pass into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Murphy wants to control but Mcmuffin is keeping busy.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Murphy won't allow Mcmuffin to pass to mount. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Murphy wants to control but Mcmuffin is keeping busy.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Mcmuffin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Murphy pinned against the cage. Murphy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Craig Mcmuffin will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round! Mcmuffin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Murphy as he jumps to the side. Murphy shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mcmuffin's guard. Mcmuffin has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Murphy is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Mcmuffin manages to break the clinch.
Mcmuffin shoots in for a double leg but Murphy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mcmuffin is trying hard to land a takedown here. Murphy sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig Mcmuffin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Murphy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murphy wanted to stand there but Mcmuffin had control of the position.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Craig Mcmuffin is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Murphy tries to lock up and control but Mcmuffin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Murphy really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Mcmuffin looking to control and managing it successfully. Mcmuffin has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Murphy is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that's the end of the fight! Craig Mcmuffin showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Mcmuffin, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
