Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Banner (ranked 293 p4p, 525 weight class) and Kongchai Phetboonme (ranked 37 p4p, 63 weight class). Phetboonme has chosen Iron Man as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be fireworks!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 3, fighting out of Montreal, Kongchai Phetboonme!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phetboonme scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Banner doesn't seem bothered though.
Banner misses the shot to the body.
Danga de danga de dang - Banner scores with a four punch combination!
Banner cracks a nice hook into Phetboonme's ribs.
A low kick from Banner is predictable there
enabling Phetboonme to counter with a crisp jab.
Banner throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Banner connects with a leg kick.
Phetboonme swings for the body but Banner moves out of range.
Lamont Banner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Banner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phetboonme manages to avoid it.

Phetboonme gets a clinch.
Phetboonme misses with the head strike.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A right hook to the body lands for Phetboonme.

Banner pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Banner throws an overhand right that lands on Phetboonme's shoulder, as Phetboonme tries to avoid the shot.
Phetboonme tries to clinch but Banner is having none of it.
Banner throws a leg kick but Phetboonme checks it.
Banner fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Phetboonme manages to avoid it.
Nice defenses there by Phetboonme.
A swing and a miss from Banner .
Banner with a jab.
Banner throws the left hand but Phetboonme avoids the punch easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
An inside leg kick from Phetboonme misses.
Banner throws a lazy right hand but Phetboonme sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Phetboonme flicks out a counter leg kick but Banner steps away.

Phetboonme drives through and clinches with Banner against the cage.
Banner 's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Phetboonme lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Banner backwards.

Banner has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Phetboonme uses from the top position.
Phetboonme has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Banner is proving hard to escape from.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Phetboonme wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Banner 's closed guard. He's half up but Banner has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Banner pivots and extends the arm, Phetboonme falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Banner ! Well done that man!
