Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Silva (ranked 380 p4p, 817 weight class) and Quinton Flynn (ranked 54 p4p, 110 weight class). Silva comes to the cage accompanied by URSO O INVENCÍVEL. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Flynn misses with a looping left.
Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Flynn looks to score with a jab to the body but Silva is just out of range.

and Silva counters with a left and a right that stings Flynn.
Flynn throws a looping overhand right but Silva ducks down to avoid it.
Silva dives in and grabs Flynn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Flynn pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.

Flynn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rickson Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Flynn is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Silva with a body shot.
Quinton Flynn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flynn stuns Silva with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Flynn lands a nice shot that snaps Silva's head back.

Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Flynn to the ground. Silva is now in Flynn's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Flynn can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva is working to tighten his grip on Flynn's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Flynn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Silva is really squeezing tight and eventually Flynn passes out! Silva breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
