Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Lock (ranked 203 p4p, 380 weight class) and Daniel Steel (ranked 32 p4p, 63 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Lock! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Daniel Steel! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel misses with a looping right. Lock tries to counter with a takedown but Steel is quick to defend against it. Lock moves away from the strike by Steel. Lock feinted with a counter takedown. Lock shoots for a double leg takedown but Steel sprawls well. He's pushed Lock's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Lock will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Steel misses with a looping left. Nice shot lands for Steel. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Steel connects with a crisp jab. Lock takes the fight into the clinch. Steel has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lock is trying to keep an underhook but Steel manages to get the takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steel looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Lock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lock looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Lock is trying to get back to full guard. Lock is on the bottom, trying to hold on to half guard. He's throwing a few small shots here, to keep his opponent honest. Lock has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Steel. Oh but Lock has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Steel goes limp - he's gone! Lock jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
