Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Madrox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Flanery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Madrox comes to the cage accompanied by Probka by Intars Busulis. Flanery comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Dropkick Murphys - The Dirty Glass kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ryan Madrox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Connor Flanery! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flanery will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Madrox moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like Connor Flanery has been cut. Flanery is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Madrox wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Flanery moves into the clinch. Flanery ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Flanery no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Flanery working for a triangle but Madrox defends it easily.

Madrox knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Flanery on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Madrox gets to his feet. Flanery looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Flanery with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Madrox to score with a decent uppercut. Flanery misses with a takedown attempt - Madrox sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Flanery shoots in looking for a takedown. Madrox tries to sprawl out of it but Flanery keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Madrox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ryan Madrox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Flanery. Flanery looks gassed! Flanery shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Madrox works the jab nicely. Horrible takedown by Flanery or perhaps it was just good defense by Madrox which made him look bad. Madrox tries to clinch but Flanery moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Madrox throws an overhand right that lands on Flanery's shoulder, as Flanery tries to avoid the shot. Flanery shoots for a takedown but Madrox saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Flanery shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Madrox but Madrox pushes him off and we're back to square one. Flanery drops his hands momentarily and Madrox takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A punch lands to the side of Flanery 's head but he takes it in his stride. Madrox fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Flanery closes this distance looking for a takedown but Madrox circles away. Madrox fails with an attempt to clinch.
Flanery clinches but Madrox breaks the clinch and Madrox counters by moving into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Flanery stops a takedown attempt from Madrox.

That has opened up Connor Flanery's cut even more. Madrox tries a knee to the head but Flanery blocks it.
Madrox wants the takedown. Flanery is fighting it off but Madrox persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Flanery's guard against the cage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Madrox wants to get up but he can't break Flanery's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Flanery is working an open guard so Madrox takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Good standup being displayed there by Madrox as he connects with a hook.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Madrox creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Flanery wants to break free but Madrox has control.

We're back to striking at a distance. Flanery tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Madrox makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

After a quick scramble, Flanery regains guard.

Madrox clinches but Flanery breaks the clinch and Flanery counters with a takedown into side control. Flanery working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Madrox wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Flanery misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Madrox tries to escape but Flanery is in control. Flanery is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Madrox looks calm but he's in trouble here. Flanery gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Madrox is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Flanery lets go of the hold and Madrox can pop his arm back in it's socket.
