Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gorgon Zola (ranked 843 p4p, 1105 weight class) and Konstantin Stepanov (ranked 33 p4p, 46 weight class). Zola's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, For Heavy Metal we will die!. The key to victory for Gorgon Zola has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 18 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gorgon Zola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Konstantin Stepanov! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stepanov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Zola is trying to control Stepanov's posture but Stepanov avoids it. Stepanov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
A control attempt from Zola but he's now mounted! Zola is looking to improve his position but Stepanov isn't that keen on the idea. Stepanov is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Zola can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Stepanov trying to control but he's not successful this time. Stepanov lands a big elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zola tries to reverse the position but Stepanov maintains control. Stepanov landing strikes, looking to finish! Zola wants to hold on but Stepanov pushes him away. Stepanov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Stepanov lands a nice shot to the head. Zola is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Stepanov lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Stepanov thowing shots but they're missing. My spies in St Petersburg MMA Gym inform me that Stepanov has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Stepanov cracks Zola with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Konstantin Stepanov! A relieved looking Konstantin Stepanov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
