Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Knock Out (ranked 422 p4p, 383 weight class) and Radio Philips (ranked 55 p4p, 50 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 35 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Knock Out! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Radio Philips! The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Out throws a big shot that misses. Nice straight punches there by Philips. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Philips. Philips scores with a punch to the head.
It looks like Knock Out has been cut. Philips misses the shot to the body. Out throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Philips does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Philips looks to score with a jab to the body but Out is just out of range. Philips misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Out throwing a counter right hand but Philips manages to avoid it. Out thows a left - swing and a miss! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Philips tries to clinch and Out counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. A cross from Philips lands. Philips gets off balance looking for a body kick enabling Out to counter with a crisp jab. Out takes a kick to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Out looks to score with a jab to the body but Philips is just out of range. Out with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Philips to score with a decent uppercut. Out scores with a nice head shot. Philips ducks under a wild hook from Out. Philips uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Out.
Philips looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Out misses with a looping right. Out keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Out throws a hook but Philips avoids it easily. Philips throws a body shot but no joy. Jab by Philips. Out has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Philips. Out misses with a straight right.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Philips tries to clinch but Out moves out of range. Out lands a nice hook to Philips's body. Philips takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Philips tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Out paws at him with a jab and circles away. Out was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Philips throws a body kick that misses and Out counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Radio Philips has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Philips throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Out swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. We've been told by Out's head coaches at Lakeside Jiu-Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Out throws a lazy uppercut
and Philips counters with a straight right hand. Philips moves to clinch but Out breaks away and Out counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Philips connects with a high kick. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Philips. Philips moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Philips fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Out manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Out throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Philips looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Out throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Philips has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Out throws the left hand but Philips avoids the punch easily. Philips throws a push kick but Out slaps the foot to one side. A counter left hand to the body from Out misses its target. Out tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Philips was well out of range. Poor timing from Out. Philips feints a counter leg kick. Philips will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Philips throws a body shot but no joy. Out gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Philips misses with the head strike.
Out lands on the inside with an uppercut. Out lands a left hand.
Out manages to break the clinch.
Out swings for the body but Philips moves out of range.
Philips was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Philips misses with the body kick and Out counters with a nice right hand that sends Philips toppling to the canvas! Philips scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Out finish him?! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Philips swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Philips tries to clinch up but Out circles away and keeps his distance. Out was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Philips misses with a lunging right hand
and Out cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Philips is rocked! Philips takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Philips is still on wobbly legs! Can Out finish him? Philips looks winded! Out lands a brutal uppercut that launches Philips off his feet! Philips tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Knock Out! Our winner, Knock Out, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
