Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Craig Altow (ranked 4156 p4p, 3617 weight class) and Atanase Teodor (ranked 475 p4p, 423 weight class). Teodor has chosen Billy Idol - Rebel Yell as his entrance music. Atanase Teodor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Atanase Teodor!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.

Altow wants to clinch but Teodor slips to the side
and Teodor counters with a stiff right hand.
Teodor lands a nice shot that snaps Altow's head back.
It looks like Craig Altow has been cut.
Altow scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Teodor doesn't seem bothered though.
Altow with a lazy takedown attempt
and Teodor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Teodor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Altow sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Altow tries to close the distance and clinch but Teodor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Altow jabs Teodor right on the nose. Teodor blinks but takes it well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Altow looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Teodor looks to land a combination but Altow avoids it well.
Teodor bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A slow jab from Teodor misses its intended target.
Teodor explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Altow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Teodor's waist but Teodor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Altow off to one side.

Altow takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Atanase Teodor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Altow blocks a jab.
Altow scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Altow with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Teodor to score with a decent uppercut.
Altow tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Teodor paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A head kick misses from Teodor.
Teodor throws a hook but Altow avoids it easily.

and Teodor counters with a left to the body.
Altow shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Craig Altow. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Teodor circles away from the clinch attempt.
No joy there for Teodor, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Altow drives through and clinches with Teodor against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.

A right hook to the body lands for Altow.
Teodor misses with some punches.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Altow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Altow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Teodor sprawls well. Teodor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Altow gets slowly back to his feet.
Altow backing away here, and Teodor unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Teodor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Teodor thuds a left hand into Altow's body.
Altow takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Teodor throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Altow sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Altow feinted with a counter takedown.
Jab, jab by Altow - just one landing.

A left lands for Altow.
Altow walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Altow tries to close the distance and clinch but Teodor swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Altow misses with a takedown
and Teodor counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Altow is rocked!
Altow takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Oh Altow is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Teodor steps in with a hook that catches Altow right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Teodor follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Altow looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Atanase Teodor!
During a confident post fight interview, Atanase Teodor thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
