Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Riku Nobunaga (ranked 3769 p4p, 25364 weight class) and Roberto Haycott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Riku Nobunaga! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Haycott! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.

Haycott drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Nobunaga defends it well. Nobunaga is looking to clinch but Haycott is avoiding it.

Haycott has Nobunaga pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Haycott pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nobunaga tumbling to the mat - Haycott dives into Nobunaga's guard. Haycott wants to pass the guard but Nobunaga is keeping the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nobunaga is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Haycott is aware though and is defending well. Nobunaga might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Haycott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nobunaga trying to keep a closed guard but Haycott is proving a slippery customer.

Haycott drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Haycott jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Haycott drops back, looking for a kneebar! Nobunaga looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Nobunaga looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Nobunaga!
Nobunaga is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Haycott has escaped the position, nice work there. Nobunaga thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nobunaga trying to control the action but Haycott is working from the bottom. Nobunaga tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Nobunaga is trying to get an arm triangle but Haycott is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Nobunaga passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Haycott! Nobunaga is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Haycott has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Haycott! Haycott trying to stand up but can't free himself from Nobunaga's guard. Haycott must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nobunaga working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Haycott doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Nobunaga is tightening it up a little... Haycott has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Haycott reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Haycott taps out! Nice BJJ there by Nobunaga!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Riku Nobunaga! A very excited looking Riku Nobunaga rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
