Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Thong Pk Chaigym! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Do! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pk Chaigym is looking to clinch. Do swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Pk Chaigym tries for a takedown but Do circles away easily and Do counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Do tries to pull guard but Pk Chaigym won't allow it.
Pk Chaigym has Do pressed against the cage, preventing Do from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Pk Chaigym changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Do fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Pk Chaigym tries to close the distance and clinch up but Do swats him away and circles back towards the center. Do tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pk Chaigym paws at him with a jab and circles away. Do closes the distance and clinches. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Do turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Do manages to end up in side control. Do gets to mount! Pk Chaigym was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Do postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Pk Chaigym looks a forlorn figure.
That's one minute gone in the round. Do is in the full mount, landing strikes. Do controlling from the full mount. Pk Chaigym is desperately trying to improve his position but Do has a good base and remains in mount. Do scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Pk Chaigym?
Do is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Pk Chaigym can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Pk Chaigym tries to hold on but Do postures up. Pk Chaigym can't escape the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pk Chaigym throws a strike from the bottom but Do uses the opportunity to take his back. Do lands with a nice looking elbow that stuns Pk Chaigym.
Do controlling from the back. Pk Chaigym is trying to defend against the choke here but Do has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Do Tightens the hold and Pk Chaigym taps out furiously! Do displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
