Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Villa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Barricho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barricho gets a takedown into half guard.

Barricho is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Villa moves into full guard.
Barricho trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Villa trying to control the position.

Villa is looking for a triangle here but Barricho uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Villa regains half guard.

Villa is holding on to half guard well.
Barricho wants to control but Villa is keeping him busy.
Villa trying to control but Barricho postures up.

Barricho seems to be working for a kimura but Villa defends the submission attempt.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Barricho is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Villa sees it coming and defends easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Villa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Barricho trying to control the position from guard on top but Villa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Villa looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Villa looking for a guillotine here but Barricho defends easily.

Villa has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Barricho is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Villa.

Barricho is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Villa knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Villa is trying to control Barricho's posture but Barricho avoids it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Villa manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Barricho is looking for a sweep. Villa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Barricho wants to control but Villa passes into side.
Barricho wants to control but Villa postures up.
Barricho looks gassed!

Villa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Villa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Barricho is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rafael Villa dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Barricho throws a push kick but Villa slaps the foot to one side.
Villa misses with a takedown attempt

and Barricho counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Villa is trying to keep Barricho in close.

Barricho has gone for a leg lock! Villa slips out almost immediately though and dives into Barricho's guard.
Villa is pushing down on Barricho's leg trying to pass to half guard. Barricho is fighting to maintain full guard but Villa has managed to sneak the leg through.
Barricho is breathing heavily.
Barricho is refusing to be controlled, as Villa sits in half guard.
Barricho is trying to control but can't.

Barricho is trying to control but Villa passes into side control!
Villa wants to control but Barricho is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Barricho is looking for a sweep.

Villa is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Barricho looks calm but he's in trouble here. Villa gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Barricho is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Villa lets go of the hold and Barricho can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Rafael Villa!
