This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 7 losses; Chan Siam! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 35 wins and 20 losses; Masa Wasa!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Wasa dives in for a single leg takedown but Siam sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Siam fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Wasa tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Siam has control of Wasa's left arm, preventing Wasa from doing any damage.
Wasa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siam swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wasa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Siam is just riding it out for now. Wasa eventually gives up the hold.

Siam is squirming around, avoiding Wasa's attempts to control the action.

Wasa avoids the attempt from Siam to control.

You can see the frustration on Siam's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Siam manages to reverse the position and now he's in Wasa's guard. Nice work there by Siam.

Siam looking to improve position, pressing down on Wasa's thigh with his hand. Wasa seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Siam paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Siam's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Wasa picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
