This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the middleweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 0 wins and 0 losses; Yuri Boshtok! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 13 losses; Joe Bone!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, John Mangel and Eliza Hachem.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Boshtok gets caught flat footed, as Bone shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Bone wants to control from the top but Boshtok keeps moving.
Boshtok wants to sweep here but Bone controlling him for the moment.

Boshtok throws his legs up looking for a submission but Bone uses it to pass to side control.

Boshtok tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Boshtok working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

It looks like Bone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Boshtok is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bone is just riding it out for now. Boshtok eventually gives up the hold.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bone is on top in guard.

Boshtok drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Boshtok jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
