Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tourney Fighter (ranked 4495 p4p, 5918 weight class) and El Maniac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). El Maniac is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

Maniac fails with a takedown attempt.
Maniac decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Maniac content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Fighter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Maniac on the ground.
Let's hope that Maniac has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Maniac closes the distance and clinches up with Fighter, looking for a takedown. Maniac pushes Fighter against the cage but Fighter circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Tourney Fighter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of El Maniac.
Maniac throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maniac fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Fighter avoids it really well and circles away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Maniac misses with a takedown attempt - Fighter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Maniac shoots for a double leg takedown but Fighter sprawls well. He's pushed Maniac's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Fighter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fighter wants it to stay on the feet.

Maniac shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Fighter counters by clinching up.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Fighter.
A nice left hand lands by Fighter.
Fighter makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Fighter scores with a nice hook to the head.
It looks like El Maniac has been cut.
Maniac has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fighter avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Fighter works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Fighter creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Fighter creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Maniac with a big uppercut! Maniac tries to clinch up but Fighter pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Maniac to the mat! Maniac covers up and Fighter unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tourney Fighter!
