And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yuvraj Singh!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Andrew Berry.

Perera scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Singh doesn't seem bothered though.
A looping hook to the body misses from Singh. Perera does a little dance to reset his feet.
Perera looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Perera cracks Singh with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Yuvraj Singh has been cut.
Perera lands a jab to Singh's midsection.
Singh misses with a double jab.
A counter left hand to the body from Perera misses its target.
Singh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Perera avoids the body shot from Singh.
Perera fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Singh.
Singh uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Perera.
Perera scores with a decent looking hook.

Perera cracks Singh with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Singh looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Perera finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Perera throws the left hand but Singh avoids the punch easily.
Perera lands a head shot.
Singh takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Perera sends Singh crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Perera is motioning to the referee to let Singh up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Perera tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Singh was well out of range. Poor timing from Perera.
Singh throws out a counter right but Perera avoids it with no problem.
Singh on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Perera scores with a nice head shot.

That has opened up Yuvraj Singh's cut even more.
Singh gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Perera gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Singh is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kusal Perera!
